That's rather shocking. You would think they would at least get their own salvage cash for the car.

Geico is pretty good in general but especially after a mass scale disaster like this. They treated me very well after Katrina for my car loss, valuing it much higher than it was worth. Or it could just be they are overwhelmed and do not want to deal with the salvage.
