Well, this discretion that Jaime will strangle her to death is obvious for the reader/viewer, but it is not to Cersei. It's clear the thought that Jaime may be the Valonqar hasn't even crossed Cersei's mind. That's why it's satisfying because it will catch Cersei completely off guard, and she'll realize in the end how much of a dumbass and crazy she actually is.

Or maybe she does realize more than we think.
It would be fitting for the tone of the story to start the season with Cersei killing Jaime to eliminate one of the threats of the prophecy and shocking the hell out of us all.
