Guessing you haven't played elite dangerous?

I played it on Xbone when it first came out for like a month and it was boring as shite, but I also didn't know anyone else playing it and I think someone also mentioned that it's since received updates.

If you want to play Eve. Go play it. NMS is not that kind of game and I don't want it to be.

yea the updates have improved it a lot. the planet landing was a game changer

but just realized it's still exclusive to xbone and pc. not sure when the ps4 version will be released, looks like maybe sometime this year LINK

Still a better game than Witcher 3.

From the little bit I've played of elite last night and today, it's a lot more in depth and realistic compared to NMS. If you want kid friendly simplicity, NMS is for you.

What's the usefulness for this in a massive space travel/exploration game?
static storage, decoration.

Maybe have some mining elements to it.

SWG did that shite in an MMO like 10 years ago.

SWG took resource gathering and crafting to a level never seen before or since. It's a shame no other game has come close in that regard.

They are both pretty different looking from an outsiders prospective.

They're similar games so they're gonna get compared. Even though it's not much of a competition with elite blowing NMS out of the water.

Kinda feel bad for Playstation only users who can't try elite dangerous or other space sims. They're stuck trying to enjoy and defend no man's sky. Can't really blame them since it's the only game in that genre on PlayStation. Once more space sims come to Playstation I'm sure they'll realize NMS wasn't worth defending. I'll enjoy seeing the NMS white knights come to that realization.

I'm still enjoying the game. I like the more laid back feel of the game.

Can understand why some wouldn't like it though.

it's mind boggling how they didn't realize the center of universe is just a massive middle finger to whoever gets there

God, I used to really like you as a poster, but you and some other's crusade to talk shite about this game has gotten old as frick.

we're allowed to complain about NMS. lots of people are doing it apparently. if Sean hadn't lied so much, the backlash wouldn't be near as bad. also if they hadn't released a broken game at $60 the backlash wouldn't be as bad.

the other thread is for positive talk, this one not so much
