One of my favorites from 2007? along with "There will be blood".

No country has been playing lately on either Starz or Cinemax.

You know it's kind of odd. This is such a great movie that is a direct adaptation of a just ok book.

i rented it for my MiL and she was in a tizzy because her cousin got killed offscreen.

One of those rare, transcendent moviegoing experiences that you never forget. You know you're witnessing greatness very early into it

One of my favorite aspects was the foley. With almost no score and long stretches of little or no dialogue, the sound editing shines.

From the crackle of boots on pavement to cattle bolt guns, leather satchels sliding through air ducts and Chigur's strangled peanut wrapper, the detail in every scene is tremendous.

Wells: "I know where the satchel is."

Chigurh: "If you knew, you would have it with you."

Wells: "I can find it from the riverbank. I know where it is."

Chigurh: "I know something better. I know where it's going to be."

Wells: "Where's that?"

Chigurh: "It will be brought to me, and placed at my feet."

Wells: "You don't know to a certainty. Twenty minutes, it could be here."

Chigurh: "I do know to a certainty. And you know what's going to happen now, Carson. You should admit your situation. There would be more dignity in it."

Wells: "You go to hell."

Chigurh: [chuckles] "All right. Let me ask you something. If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?"

----------

Chigurh: "Yes?"

Moss: "Is, uh, Carson Wells there?"

Chigurh: "Not in the sense that you mean."

Great movie, I watch it fairly often. Chigurh was one of the best villains ever imo.
