Yep and L. Collins will be an all pro with Dallas. Should have taken a chance
Jesus tap dancing Christ, the Saints WERE interested. Collins picked Dallas. The NFL basically made sure no one drafted him.

I love how the entire league passed on him yet we're the idiots.

Peat didn't play well last night at all, but he showed last year he can play, AND he's in better shape this year. I'm not worried about it unless this becomes a trend in preseason.

One of the bad plays I'm not quite sure was on him. They ran a stunt with the DT and the DE, and the guard kicked out to stay with the DT. He should have just stayed in his zone and picked up DE. Peat kind of freaked out, lunged and grab the DE.

I generally hate comments on players' body language, but I was sitting 15ft from Peat all night and he constantly looks like he just got turned down for the Prom.

The rest of the line was encouraging each other and calling out each others' "bullshitting." Peat just moped around, wouldn't look Strief in the eye when he was trying to coach him up.

Maybe it's just his personality or maybe he needs to get his testosterone checked.

what makes people post shite like this after ONE preseason game??

I mean shite, I am as tough on the Saints as anyone, pessimist, not expecting them to be very good but...

I am certainly going to give them and one player more than a preseason game before I think it or they are a "big pile of shite"

Me too. A future All-Pro right in your backyard, a position you need to fill .... Hey - 1+1 is 3, right?

You understand NO ONE was going to touch him in the draft. And as FA signing, he had his choice, and who could blame him for not sticking around?

"A future All-Pro"

The myth gets bigger as time passes.

Don't even bother trying to reason with the Hmph Squad. This is on par with Scott Shanle on Vernon Davis for them.

He sucked sweaty arse at guard. Either play him at RT or don't play him at all. You're stunting his already weak development bouncing him around to every position on the OL.

He has to takeover next year at RT so give him some reps this year, and quit this bullshite guard experiment. He's horrible there.

Future all pro that was rated as the 53rd best guard. He wasn't good last year. Don't give a frick about 2 highlight plays, don't care. AND most importantly, he chose his team.

Some LSU fans are comical. Your bias shows.

I still maintain if he hadn't been from LSU, we wouldn't have heard a word on it.

Look, at this point, Collins is a cowboy and Peat is a Saint. So I hope Peat does better.

But, Collins was twice voted rookie of the week by PFF and finished 9th in their rookie of the year voting

So yes, PFF actually thought he had a great rookie year

The saints weren't the only team in need at that position that year, so someone WOULD HAVE drafted him if they thought it was an advisable move.

I'm pretty level headed actually. And I'm referring to PFFs grading system. It's not perfect, but it gives a good idea as to how a guy performed

At this point, I'm just hoping Peat can have a career like Stinchcomb. Sit for the first 3 years and then have a slight better than avg second half of his career.
