What is the OT baller going with these days? Pros/cons of each? Was looking at either the Nest or top line Honeywell.
TIA

tech board has lots of threads on this FYI

I installed two of the honeywells this past March. I didn't notice much of a difference until we started getting 100 degree weather everyday. Our AC units are cooling the house off more efficiently -- the electric bill is lower and the house is colder than ever during these hot days.
I wasn't really convinced they were worth it before the really hot weather hit. Now I am. I'm also curious to see how they perform this winter.

I wanted to get a Nest, but after searching here and reading a few old threads, we ended up buying this Honeywell.

I really like it, mainly for when I'm being lazy and can just turn the air up/down from the couch or bed.
Was nice too when we went on vacation last month. You just hit the vacation mode button and then tell it what day/time you'll be arriving home and what temperature you want it to be.

OT ballers have communicating HVAC systems that do not allow for the use of 3rd party t-stats. Most likely it would be Lennox or Carrier.

I have a butler that handles that

I looked at all of them and went with the Emerson Sensi Wi-Fi Programmable Thermostat 1F86U-42WF. Does everything I need and was $99 when I bought it on Amazon. So needing 2 of them, it was $200 vs $500 and a week after its installed the newness wears off and it's just a thermostat.
