A lot of those JD Power type deals are based on problems reported within X days or months of purchase. They don't reflect whether it might be okay for a year or two and then fall apart.

Exactly, JD power ratings are crap...who cares about "initial quality"?? The "not actors" commercials are getting so freaking annoying.

The ones they say in their own ads are for initial quality. It means jack shift after a year or two when it starts to break down.

Meanwhile, my 10 year old tundra has only had new brakes, a new battery, and new tires, and I've got 120k on it.
