If your core group is the ones doing the inviting, can't you guys tell people, "we are hosting a tailgate. $5-$10 to enter for all you can eat and drink." Not sure why anyone would turn that down to be around people they want to hang out with.

I didn't go to LSU, but when I was in town for games and ran around with other college kids, I always offered someone $5-10. It was a small price to pay to have a good time and it was obvious the gesture was appreciated. If people don't like it, they can go tailgate somewhere else.

This is exactly what we do. Before we used the honor system and people just didn't chip in enough. We wouldn't turn people down but if we see someone without a wristband eating and drinking they'd be more easily able to identify and we could say "hey man would you mind chipping in $5 or something." We're not gonna start throwing people out for something like that. We're not heartless.
