Valentine can say what he wants. the only source that matters is lsu. And lsu hasn't said he's eligible.

Yeah, it seems as if 247 got the scoop and got the first interview with TV, he just hasn't practiced yet. 104.5 just mad because they weren't first, and because LSU hasn't come out and said he's eligible yet, they're trying to bring attention to themselves. Typical Gordy, Ponamsky, Culotta and Moscona.

Delly asked an lsu spokesman and he refused to comment. If it was A done deal he would have confirmed. I don't need ponamsky to help me realize he's not eligible. And Shea and sonny have been wrong their fair share.

Valentine is an unusual situation since he is technically a recruit up until he becomes an LSU student (no letter of intent). Rather than risk a violation, the prudent thing for LSU to do would be to not mention his name until he is an actual student (as opposed to someone who has done everything necessary to become a student). I have no inside info, but I wouldn't expect LSU to mention him by name until he is attending classes and practicing.

Good point. The staff is likely just playing it safe until all Ts are crossed and is dotted.
