Not really. I think lots of people have seen very similar things happen. I can think of 4 or 5 office romances I've witnessed that had similar dynamics. Certainly not one exactly like that, but in all of them one or both were married, engaged, or involved with someone else already. It's a very real reality in today's office environment.
