I just purchased my S&W M&P Shield 9mm... I'm looking for recommendations on a good concealed carry class in or near BR... I would appreciate personal experience recommendations, not some "a buddy of mine" endorsements... I trust you guys a lot more than the people I personally know, so what saith the OB??

I'll hang up and listen

I used Lashootrite. Go to them or they'll come to your group of at least 4 pretty much anywhere in Baton Rouge area.

Corndog:

My classes are booked pretty far in advance. But if you'll call me (I'm not comfortable posting too much on an open forum) I will share some info/recommendations on other classes in the BR area.

You can find my contact info at www.personaldefensetraining.net

I've heard excellent things about Dawg's class. I can also say that he's a man of great integrity. If you can take his class, I highly recommend it.

Get in touch with Bapple here at tiger droppings and take his class...at least he is Pro 2A and does not oppose constitutional carry legislation...maybe add "paging Bapple" into your thread title

I attended a CC class recently and we were in and out in 3 hours.

We were told it will take about 9 months to get our CC permit back from the state due to the many requests they are receiving per day.
