We had a really good experience using Airbnb to find a place in Feb .

What are you looking for? Are you going to need multiple rooms and have a bunch of kids? Your typical chains are near the Biltmore, Asheville Mall or the interstates. The Biltmore is usually crazy high, the Grove Park is pretty affordable, and then you have the boutique hotels downtown. You should check out the Asheville Crown Plaza a little bit out of town. There is a legit Zip Line course on site and they have a free shuttle downtown and back every 15 minutes until around midnight. Thats the best deal in town.

I've also used Airbnb and VRBO in Asheville and surrounding mountain areas.
