wow that trailer took a left turn

this movie seems to combine so many archetypal stories and it just might work

Looks awesome.

Love these types of movies. Will wait to see early reviews, but I might make it to the theater for this one.

If 'A Beautiful Mind' and 'The Bourne Identity' had a child, it would be this movie.

Given how huge Affleck is right now because of Batman, I was thinkin there's no way he should be doing a movie called The Accountant with tiny arse Anna Kendrick as the love interest

Then I saw that trailer and it was completely different than what I was expecting.

Looks awesome. I'll watch.

I wonder if Anna Kendrick is just destined to always be the naive sidekick in drama/thriller movies.

I think she's a lock for the lead of the live action sequel to Ratatouille

i'm curious how they explain how the autistic genius guy who can't form social interactions was able to train to become a badass military fighter guy

Same question I had.

Probably gets taken under the wing of a quirky, loner old timer. Usually how it happens.

I think he's got severe OCD tendencies from his autism and that helps him be weirdly organized and a perfectionist. This leads to him being a very good marksman (and accountant). I don't know about the physical ability to fight. Was that in the trailer really? I just saw him shooting, not really hand to hand fighting.

that's how i think they do it

they do this + say that his focus/personality allows him to learn and mimic things faster than normal people and that's why he's so dangerous

probably set up a big joke where he explains it away with a "i mean what else would you expect?" face

Great story and great cast, but not crazy about the two leads. Ben Affleck is an OK actor but I always see him as just Ben Affleck; I can't get immersed into the story if he's the lead. I'm actually a fan of Anna Kendrick. She has a wicked sense of humor on Twitter and I like the small, cute form factor. But I also just see her as Anna Kendrick, especially in dramatic roles. She's at her best in musical and comedy roles, and in indy films like Happy Christmas that have a more natural feel than these larger-than-life big budget films.

For those surprised/intrigued by this badass twist in a film called The Accountant—if you read the synopsis, what you see in the trailer doesn't give away the actual story. I think the real story turns out to be sort of the opposite of what you think you see in the trailer.
