Would I rather it no. Do I understand the need yes. But part of the BLM movement protests was against the militarization of the police force. The only thing they accomplished was the reinforcement of there being a need for it.

I saw what happened because I was stuck in the traffic. At least 8-10 cops stopped perkins traffic in both directions and apparently arrested 1 guy from whta I saw. Few of them had rifles, put on vests and There was an EMS at the YMCA. IT looked like they were patrolling the neighborhood across the street but I think it dispersed quickly after that. Nothing else happened from what I saw and I dont know what caused it all.

I live two streets over to the north of that location and saw no cops in this area.
