Define "pretty great" - you can't get mad at the guy when you took the first shot.

But part of the BLM movement protests was against the militarization of the police force. The only thing they accomplished was the reinforcement of there being a need for it.

Look...I'm not fan of blm...quite the opposite. But I'm not a bootlicker either. We don't need militarized police forces. Instead I would suggest peace thru freedom. A lot more can be accomplished thru peace than having our dark overlords rule with tanks and tear gas. It's a sad day when we are cheering for those who blindly enforce laws written by our corrupt politicians.

don't just throw out lazy, broad generalizations.

Tell us specifically exactly how you propose our law enforcement operate "thru peace".

Man when you have people targeting them specifically I can completely understand why they would militarize. Sometimes you have to be more aggressive than usual.

I guess that's the difference between me and you. I see all this gear on them and think damn. It's sad that these are the precautions they have to take just to be able to go home to their family. You see it as them wanting to use it against us.

youre a moron. let one of your buddies much less multiple get killed and see you're reaction. Cops getting targeted with weapons much stronger than just pistol. Cops have to protect themselves

Also, I just want to say that these are the worst threads. When you make statements like this, you have to consider that people have loved ones "on perkins'. Perkins goes from what? Near Dalrymple to I10 on highland where you exit to go to blue bayou? (or it might be right before, I think it goes into another street, I forget I haven't been that way in awhile).

You can get on Perkins from Acadian, College, Essen, Bluebonnet, Siegen (there are actually a lot more areas, but I am just saying its a pretty long stretch just to come on here and say "I saw something going down on Perkins").

I am a "stickler" for detail and this is a pet peeve of mine, but you can say something like "I was on Perkins right before the college exit going East when I saw, what appeared to be about 30 police cars. Police were armed with rifles and heavy gear. That's the only thing I really saw, but I would appreciate if anyone could add more information about this".

Exactly, I don't plan on being in a situation when the cops are coming after me or nor do I plan on putting myself in a position in which police would have to become over aggressive. I know things happen & one day, for some reason I could find myself running from the law or whatever, but I would also rather know that the people who are protecting our communities are able to have the same power as anyone who could come in and do whatever.
