I'd assume somewhere around 30-35K per semester total cost of attendance.

Let's say the child goes 8 semesters (although 10 or more is becoming more common), that puts you at $240,000-$280,000.

As much as it sucks, that calculator probably isn't far off.

ETA: I originally calculated per semester, when I should have done per year. I'd say $150,000 should cover the cost of your child attending an In-State public university.
