Whole Foods

We stopped at the Whole Foods in Napa for provisions on the way up yesterday and stumbled into a Hermitage Brewing beer tasting. The rep poured us a flight and started talking about the single hop citra stuff, which sounded great until I smelled the beer. It was a malty mess. I asked to see the bottle and it was bottled 3/04. I went Maveny on him.

Just ate dinner at this place. On Thursday they are serving Gumbo with Tiger shrimp and Okra.

July 4 weekend, there was a beer tasting on Sunday at my local HEB. They had as one of the brews the Prairie Phas-something DIPA that I've seen several on here post about being really good.

I asked the guy pouring about bottle dating on the beer, bc I was hesitant to buy a 4 pack a couple weeks ago since I couldn't find a date.

His reply was that it doesn't really matter much, because IPAs are meant to age well.

He then told me the Prairie DIPA tastes exactly like Heady Topper, which I've never had Heady and couldn't believe him since he just before told me about IPAs aging.

And tomatoes. Must have nice, ripe tomatoes for that perfect gumbo.

First time running since last August. I'm on the trip with my old "running buddy"(we literally ran together for almost 30 years) and I figured I'd give it a try. It felt great.

I vaguely remember you showing me stretches on my back porch. I had been drinking. Good times.

That's covered under allergen #4. I thought that was obvious...

They are a little north of laffey so I guess tomatoes are traditional.
