I agree with this. Unless he was close to being out of the league with no offers, I have to think the promise of playing time was made to someone that shares an agent with AD.

His Defensive Real Plus Minus was terrible last season, but it was positive the previous season. I guess we'll see how serious/permanent the effects of his injury are.

Supposedly AD was personally recruiting Jones. If it's a min signing for one year, it's definitely worth the gamble that he regains play from 2 years ago. His injuries have mostly been of the freak and not recurring variety...peroneal nerve damage, collapsed lung...etc. Maybe with a healthy offseason and a change of scenery playing with a familiar face, he can be a productive player again.

He only played 30 games. The year before it was also abysmal.
