Would it be true? I think people would actually be more full of it, as they would not say anything truthful or anything of substance. There would be no real conversation or dialogue and it would be generic talk show opinions.

The feeling of anonymity on some sites allows for real conversations, it is up to you to decide to engage or expound.

Not sure if I'd say it allows for more conversations, because many places are just a flame fest, but I do believe it allows for more honesty. I don't believe the anonymity makes people crazy as much as it lets them be crazy.

Personally, I think it is great for moderate and reasonable people and terrible for extremists. The progress and solutions are found in the middle while the extremists seek out echo chambers and get farther from reality.
