Crying about losing and then Teaming up with Hakeem and Clyde in Houston apparently doesn't count....discuss. LINK

He didn't get a title, so technically, he's correct.

1. He doesn't have a title.
2. Who cheated?
2. Who cheated?

Let's not forget him taking a pay cut to $1m so the rockets could add pippen, that's not cheating either I suppose

"We develop this thing where you keep telling these guys, 'Hey man, if you don't win a championship you're a bum.' I don't feel like a bum," he said. "I'm pretty sure Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone and John Stockton -- we think we're pretty damn good. We could have played with some of those other guys and kind of cheated our way to a championship. But there is this thing that started with this new generation where these guys feel so much pressure. Everybody wants to win.
I do agree with him on this.

Barkley never did ANYTHING to get a title so...

He was out of his prime by the . Kinda different. All three were out of their prime at that time

So what? Obviously it would probably feel better winning a title in a more organic fashion rather than joining a super team. But a ring is better than no ring. There's no way Charles can convince anyone he would rather be sitting there with no titles than win one on a team of superstars

I sorta agree with the what he is saying, but it is hilarious that he is saying it when he joined a 2 time NBA champion a year after they won.
I don't love the superstar teams. I do think it is bad for basketball as a whole to have 3 teams that can really compete any given year

Barkley himself was 33.
They were big names, but it wasn't really a super team considering their ages.

Headline should read Barkley "cheated", to never get a title.

Nah, he just never got a title.

All of those players basically retired within 2 years of forming that geriatric team. It's not the same. They were all in their mid 30s not the prime of their careers.
