August 15. I know he is considered a bama lean but he said he likes Craig and feels like he can trust him so maybe we have a chance.

Hope we get him,but I would be surprised if he didn't pick bama at this point...not because we have so mny receivers but just the way his recruitment has went you know.

I was hoping it would drag out longer since we had a good bit of room to make up for him. Idk if we've had enough time to make it up. But with our staff it's a possibility.

Either way, he's a guy that's gonna get the red carpet treatment from everyone until NSD.

Anyone check Craig's Twitter for a purple rain tweet?

If an in state kid wants to go ahead and commit somewhere else I'd rather him get it out of the way early and not toy with our emotions. ( either way I hope it's the Tigers)

Sounds like he's following the Cam Rob timeline to a T

While I'd be ecstatic to see Devonta light it up at LSU, I'd honestly be surprised if he went anywhere other than Bama.

Sucks that he might leave the home team.

But in the end.... we need great players that WANT TO BE AT LSU !!

Y'all don't know this kid. He has a younger brother that really looks up to him. I sat by the family for a bit at an event. They seem grounded. Wouldn't be shocked if he stays close to them.

Kids from Amite and kentwood don't come to LSU for whatever reason. There's a lot of Alabama love in that area and has been for some time.

We'll be aight at WR either way. And don't think for a minute that Craig and Orgeron won't stay on him til signing day

Coach Craig let Devonta know he still has a spot when Netherly and Ausbon committed.

Meh, keep on him just in case one of the other guys decommits, but we are loaded at WR from a recruiting standpoint and guys that are already here. Would rather use the spot for front 7 or OL.

I like Smith and Racey McMath better than Ausbon and Netherly, but when you have a force like Craig recruiting for you I knew kids like this that would usually go to a Texas school would wind up at LSU.

You like McMath better than Ausbon? Are you high?

I like McMath as well, sucks that a kid from out of state took his spot.

Am I high?? No, wish I was though, but I've seen the kids potential and you damn right I like him better. I like any LA talent over another states talent except for FLA. Ausbon is a good talent, but he doesn't have outstanding speed and is basically a possession type receiver. McMath not only has similar size, but has great 4.4 speed and dominated in one on ones at a camp that left LSU coaches no choice but to offer. You can see the playmaking ability, so it's stupid to ask me if I like LA talent over some other states. Kids from the booth can flat out play. That 3 star rating on this kid is a joke!

I don't think Ausbon or Netherly took his spot, I mean LSU did offer him, but I just think that it's ridiculous if they end up with 5 receivers when they only needed 2 with all the receivers they already have.

The only way he would choose LSU would be if he waits to see how the offense opens up during season. He is all Bama

no one took his spot.. and it certainly does not suck to have Ausbon

Ausbon seems to make tremendous catches, possibly has more range, and is strong to break through tackles. He looks tremendous. He reminds me a lot of OSU's Michael Thomas. That is who I immediately think of when I see his film. Michael Thomas runs pretty much the same as him. Then I read others make similar comparisons and actually say he is further advanced than Thomas was at this point..

McMath looks great with his speed and ability to go get it as well. I am glad we got Drake Davis, who I believe is an all-around game-breaker. So I am fine taking Ausbon when he actually wants to be here.
