So did the stuff with Craig Robinson happen or was that all in his head?

A lot of you seem to not really get some of the nuances of the show. It is very quickly becoming one of tGOAT. I will give it 2 more seasons to maintain this sort of quality, but holy frick! I would love to know what goes into their shot composition and how they decide how unbalanced they go and where to cut the character off.
They drilled home the prison motif and did not wait until the finale to prove it, like most network shows would do. They know their audience is smart enough to figure it out, as is their main character. That was not the point of the twist. Well done.
It has been an amazing ride so far. The biggest "surprise" to me is that Sam Esmail is the writer, director, and showrunner for the entire season and the show is this brilliant. That is a really tough trifecta to pull off.

quote:elliot is in jail for hacking the guy that krista, his therapists, was going out on dates with in the 1st season. At the beginning of the season he was trying to get rid of Christian skaters Mr robot and us, the imaginary friend that he created in the pilot and who he is talking to in the voice overs. He is doing so because he believes that both of us betrayed him by not telling him that mr robot wasn't real. Because of this, he has spent the whole season disguising his time in prison as him living with his mom. He felt he could kill both of us by doing so. However, through all of this stuff with ray he has come to the realization that he needs Mr robot. That he can't kill something that is apart of him because it is him. This realization means that we have regained his trust and he is lifting the mask that he was showing us
Im so confused

I agree with all of the above. The more I saw the court, the more I kept wondering if he was in a prison yard- same cast of char every time. When the white boys showed up & had that exchange I was almost for certain that's what's up.
Well played

I assumed prison or a mental institution from the get go.
Was it Joey badass that killed those guys and then mentioned whiterose would be seeing Elliot soon?
The therapist also said she wanted to see Elliot once he is out of prison; so he must have been charged with a lesser crime?

Yes

Don't think it's been said, but the common belief is for one of the smaller hacks in season 1. Either White Rose or him turning in Craig Robinson is getting him out, IMO.

How did he get caught with that hack unless the therapist ratted on him.
Didn't he kidnap that guys dog as well

My only question at this point is who exactly is that bodyguard that hangs out with Joanna Wellick?
Is he just some guy that she hired to protect her?

he turned himself in is the indication they are giving us. he needed to protect himself from Mr Robot, so he got himself locked up. Darlene makes a comment about it when she visits him. He also talks a lot about how needs to be here until he is better.

Oh I didn't catch that, makes plenty of sense given what the show is about

I don't think the shot composition is as good this season, but still a great show.

Bump for tonight and because I'm caught up
The prison reveal was pretty well done, even though we all knew it was coming. I have a few questions though. Did White Rose get Elliott out of prison? And what was Ray's role in the prison? Some sort of counselor?

So, Craig is running the website from jail? Is he an inmate or a guard/therapist/counselor type.
Posted on 8/24/16 at 12:05 pm to Cap Crunch
quote:it's possible. However, the prevailing thought was just that he's getting out after over 6 months because that's his sentence
Did White Rose get Elliott out of prison
quote:they never specified but probably a counselor based off his initial interactions. He's someone who, at the bare minimim, has access to a computer
And what was Ray's role in the prison? Some sort of counselor?
