Anyone got a crack at the Basel XI tomorrow?

My guess.

Ospina
Bellerin-Mustafi-Kosc-Gibbs
Elneny-Xhaka
Ox-Cazorla-Iwobi
Perez

Gabriel might get in there for one of the CBs. Don't think Holding starts.

Gibbs deserves minutes, Monreal could use a rest.

Elneny against his former club. Xhaka into the team.

Perez will start up top with Giroud suspended. I'm guessing we rest Ozil and Alexis, and Ox will play for either Walcott or Iwobi, I'd guess Walcott since he went the full 90 this weekend and Iwobi got subbed off.

That's not a bad lineup but just imagine the backlash if we lose the game without Alexis or Özil
I think Alexis does play tomorrow because he was subbed Saturday, but with Özil I would love to see him rested for a game.

And this is probably me being a little too hopeful but I'd love to see Ox in the playmaker role like he had against Milan several years back. Cazorla might (unfortunately) have to be dropped for this to be a possibility though

I find changing the team for a Champions League match a bit odd. I'm not disagreeing with getting guys some rest, but in general, it doesn't make sense. The argument for attracting players is playing in the Champions League is a huge factor. It is the biggest trophy possible. We have a guaranteed 6 matches in the CL, and it's a given that there will be some squad rotation. It just seems backwards to me.

I dont want to rest Ozil tomorrow. It's champions league, put your best out there.
