The delay is what really pisses me off. It is so dumb. Wenger treats the first month of the season like it's preseason, which just gives Manchester city, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham a chance to get a nice point bump over us. Plus, when they come into the squad late like that they have no time to gel with their teammates and form chemistry.

Not much to disagree with, Stewie. Need the first win and the three points tomorrow.

Ozil, Kos and Giroud all back to start and we should rip Watford apart. 3-1 to the Arsenal tomorrow.

I can't remember where I saw it written, but there are questions about whether Ozil is fully match fit. I wouldn't be surprised if Wenger tries to get the win without needing to start Ozil to get him another 2 weeks to get ready.

Having said that, he made an immediate difference at Leicester. So, it would be nice if he started, we got a good lead, then they could take him off after 65 mins or so.

I could have sworn last week before the leicester game he said ozil was closer to game ready than giroud.

With his first touch and almost every other touch. He does things so easily that it makes the difficult look sublime.

He looked fit and stronger than I have seen him.

Immediate impact. Best player on the pitch by a VERY wide margin.

Missed out on finns for opening weekend because of the flooding. I hope to make a trip out there sometime this season. I've been only once for the FA cup final against Villa and it was a great experience.

I'm amazed that we actually spent money. A hundred mil. This only seems disappointing because United and others spent so much, but I'm fairly happy with the haul we got, especially Xhaka and Mustafi.

Just imagine if we went in on a top ST last summer. We probably could have had Higuain for around 50-60 mill. If we signed a quality ST last summer we likely win the league. Add that to our signings this summer and we would be in the position to repeat. Not that Im disappointed about this window but it's hard not to think of what could have been.

I really think if we committed to the low block, we could have won the league last year without a striker addition. Only one team in the league scored more than 70 goals, if I recall correctly, and it was mostly our defensive lapses that cost us games. I still think if we commit to the low block we will be hard to beat. It is the high block/press situation where our positioning becomes especially poor.
