I would like to hope that Arsene saying he's confident in Theo being a striker is just lip service but I really doubt it

Anyone having issues with quality? It's almost unwatchable for me.

Iwobi continues to impress. You have to believe that he's option #1 after Sanchez for one of the wide roles.

Dang, not looking good with Gabriel, didn't see what happened.

I just don't get this injury streak Arsenal seems to be on. Maybe it's soccer in general, but damn.

It isn't. Chelsea and Leicester had virtually no injuries the last two seasons. Some of it is style, some of it is training. I heard a BBC piece on how Arsene is twenty years behind in the way he trains players. The style of play leaves huge gaps in the final third and forces the defenders to go Hell bent for leather, thus injuries.

That would be my guess. Unless he decides Kos's time off just got shortened.

I'm guessing from the challenge itself and Gab's reaction to it, he probably did his Achilles. Which is a shame. He's going to go the way of TV5 rather than LK6. He needed these five months to prove himself.

I'm all for just sticking debuchy at CB.

Some chatter in the British press re: loaning Debuchy out to Galatasaray.

yeah it seems pretty set in stone that debuchy would be leaving.

Either we bring back Kosc early or slide Monreal in at CB and Gibbs at LB.

It's our fault for not buying a CB yet (Holding doesn't count in this discussion). We needed to upgrade Per even before he got hurt.

On the bright side Alexis looked good up top and Theo looked good out wide. Also, Coquelin was awesome. Shame that he's gonna get benched for Xhaka because I love that guy.

who are you thinking starts in midfield for the first game?

xhaka, coq, elneny, ramsey, walcott, ox, campbell, iwobi. 8 players for 5 spots. 9 when ozil comes back.

You forgot Jack too.

Our midfield is actually stacked and healthy for once. I imagine you have Santi and Jack at the no. 10, Ramsey and Xhaka for one CM spot and Coq/Elneny for the other.

Outside I think you go with Ox on one side with Iwobi on the other, with Alexis at striker. Walcott has looked mighty impressive though.

Outside of our CB situation and the absence of a back-up striker, the team looks two deep everywhere.
