Billy Zane Thinks the End of Titanic is All Wrong

He thinks that Rose should have ended up with Cal (Zane's Character) at the end. He state's that his character was misunderstood and found redemption.

It tend to agree from four reasons:
1. Rose is a slut in the movie that goes around screwing randoms. She deserves to be with a man who will put her in her place
2. Rose is a woman. That means that in order for the movie to the realistic, she will settle with the guy with the most money. The Titanic was supposed to be about realism.
3. Jack was a beta. Total beta. He liked to draw chicks and pretend to fly. Also, he wasn't man enough to force himself onto a floating object clearly big enough for the both of them.
4. Rose is a murderer. She murdered Jack. Again, there was clearly enough room. She obviously couldn't wait to break his frozen hand off so he could sink into his beta abyss. She deserved to get smacked around for life.
Winner: Cal

In all seriousness, the supporting cast, Zane included, did a fantastic job. Cameron spent more time trying to get everything to look right, rather than get his leads to, you know, "act." The leads (both are clearly talented) came off wooden, 2-dimensional and, ultimately, unbelievable.
The movie looks great. There are some fantastic performances in addition to Zane, - notably Bates, Hill, Braeden, Fox - a number of the actors playing historical figures gave it 100%.

ending would have been better if she just jumped in herself, like she was trying to sink down and be with the man she loved.

This is a little too far. I don't see how she premeditated killing Jack.
That said, she sucks.
She uses Jack to get back at Zane and her mother, uses him to save her life and then drops the damn diamond into the ocean.
Zane got caught in the middle of a mother-daughter power battle and Jack lost his life for a piece of tail.
