According to police, two suspects, described as black males wearing grey hooded sweatshirts, robbed the restaurant. During the robbery, a 21-year-old shift manager was stabbed several times by one of the suspects. After the incident, the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle waiting outside. Police believe at least three suspects were involved in the robbery. According to a witness, the suspects got into the building through a back door when an employee opened it to take out the trash. Kenner Police Chief Mike Glaser said restaurant workers were at work later because the carpets were scheduled to be cleaned. Glaser said the suspects stole everything in the restaurant's safe. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where she remains in critical condition. Glaser said the woman suffered "life-threatening' wounds to her head, neck and chest. Glaser said still images of the suspects obtained through surveillance video will be released later today. The restaurant is expected to be closed the remainder of the today, and possibly tomorrow.
