I hate it but I get it. Joe doesn't really fit Pep's mold and he's done himself no favors. The smirking bullshite, the Arsenal friendly, smashing the tunnel screen....he's making an arse of himself.
I really thought he would step up and be a leader and make an effort. He's done dick all to adapt.

I have a feeling that fricking smirk is going to be what he's remembered for.

good result there. lots of good passing and some nice goals, but we could have scored a hell of a lot more goals.

KDB & Silva in the middle
Nolito has been great.
Sterling looks like the Sterling we bought. He's going to light it up under Pep.

he's been a revelation. i'm excited to see what he does as his confidence keeps building. hopefully he keeps drawing penalties inside of 10 minutes each game.

Yeah, a lot of good to take from that match. Still a work in progress, but lots of positives.
Nolito was a great signing. Sterling is awesome again. Fernandinho is still the most important player on the team.
Really excited to see this team with Gundogan and a keeper who can kick a ball.

I'm so ready to see him play.

it was like really was trying REALLY hard to force himself to play the ball to feet out the back rather than boot long balls. had me nervous on several occasions.

Apparently that's the only reason Caballero is starting.
Because he at least is trying to what Pep wants lol

Yup. Hart just hoofed it. He's shown his arse lately.

sterling and Kolorov have been early standouts. pre season I was thinking they might be the worst on the team.

Gabe Jesus scored 2 for Brazil today.
I heard somewhere that Kelechi will have been at City long enough to be "homegrown" in January, so they can add him without taking anyone off the PL or CL squads.

The finish on his second goal was pretty.

But that's just a temporary loophole while he's been with the club for 2 years and still under 21. The bigger question is can he register as clubgrown once he turns 21, that I'm not sure of.
Gabriel's goals weren't especially noteworthy, but they show he's calm in front of goal and a good finisher. His movement is also good, and he can hold himself onside.
I really like the direction the team has taken with the young players they've signed.

Pretty much the same lineup from Romania today aside from Nolito being on the bench and Navas starting.
Maffeo on the bench and no Sagna...wonder what that's about.
No Sane still

Pep said yesterday that Sagna isn't fit.

I'm going to go ahead and petition the OP to change the title to "Great Expeptations." I've been reading this thread for weeks and I just can't stand it anymore. The title just bugs me. "Great Expeptations has a much better feel and is a much better play on words.

I'll change it when we lose.
Another great match by Sterling and Stones.
Raheem wasn't as bulletproof as midweek, but if he lost the ball he gave an effort we aren't accustomed to from him to win the ball back.

Last I saw was that he'll be back after the international break.
