Uh...because baseball stadiums are different than uniform basketball and football stadiums.

You can't play crap-shoot with what team is better suited for a different field year in and year out.

Had to be uniform to insure every team that won played on the same level playing field.

Can't be like, we are the short field champs or easy infield or short right champs.

ETA: Every NCAA B-ball champ and MNC in football played on a level historically consistent playing field...court and field....

Football stadiums aren't uniform. Grass versus turf. Indoor and outdoor.

This thread is full of SJW-sounding whining about changing the world so everything is fair. So sad.

Why would it be so bad to rotate locations? Why would a team build themselves according to where the championship is being played? Wouldn't they build themselves to win enough games to at least make it to the WS? Can't put the cart before the horse.

Here's an idea...maybe the champions would be the team that could demonstrate enough skill to have success regardless of what field they're on? You know, versatility, adaptability. I think the best of the best could do that.
