We are thinking about going the DVC point route next year for the Food and Wine Fest. How hard would it be to get something near the Boardwalk? Would I be paying out the wazoo? We originally were going to go with the Swan or Dolphin.

You'll need to book close to 11 or 10 months out. Boardwalk and Beach Club fill up fast since they are walking distance to the world showcase. You looking at a 1-bedroom? Studio? 2-bedroom? For Boardwalk, your best bet is the 1 bedroom. The point cost for a week in October will be about $2k (166 points). But your cheapest option is studio. $1kish for the week.
