My cousin works for Hilton/Waldorf so I'm seeing if she can get me a good deal at the Waldorf Astoria resort.

Stayed here at The Grand Wailea a couple times, really nice place. Hilton just recently made it better for friends and family rates so I'd say definitely try this route. The others mentioned ITT are nice as well.

The Sheraton has exactly what you are looking for. They have 3 or 4 pools and beach access. We stayed for 200 a night. This place was extremely nice for a Sheraton. I was pleasantly surprised.

In relation we stayed at a Sheraton in Kauai and it was pretty plain

I saw the Sheraton listed on expedia and the prices were very reasonable, but i automatically assumed it was a standard, run of the mill Sheraton, so this is very helpful and i will look further into it.

A review said the waldorf grand wailea is the most "lavish" of all the resorts (whereas the four seasons or ritz are more classy). I think lavish is kinda what I'm going for. I just might end up with the above mentioned Sheraton if its a great deal.... but if my cousin can get me into the Waldorf for not a whole lot more i'll probably end up there.
