Never said anything about it being "drastic" but it certainly wouldn't hurt. It would be one more preventative measure in place. You can never be too safe.

Ehhh, like it or not, you always have to weigh costs and risks/expectations

Do you and your kids (if you have the ) wear helmets 24/7?
