How many nights per month are you in a hotel?
Depends, but averaging 4-6 right now. Last year it was 3-4 nights each week.
What is your preferred hotel chain and why?
SPG right now due to crossover rewards with Delta and Uber, but I've earned Platinum at Marriott and Hilton as well over the last few years.
How many flights a year do you average?
Depends. This year I'm looking at 20ish round trips. Last year it was probably 40+.
What is your preferred airline and why?
Delta. Based in ATL. Unfortunately, I travel to Philly a ton now which is 1/3 the price chearper on AA so I don't fly Delta exclusively anymore.
Do you get to keep your hotel/airline points?
Yes.
How many miles per month are you driving?
0
Do you have a "territory," and if so, what is it?
Not officially, but most of my travel now is up and down the east coast.
How does your company reimburse mileage?
$0.55 per mile
Do you receive a car allowance, and if so, how much is it?
N/A
Do you receive per diem, if so how much per night?
Depends on the project. I used to and it ranged from $50-$80 depending on the city.
How are travel expenses paid (reimbursed from your card or company card)?
Transit and lodging on company card. If per diem, meals reimbursed to personal card. If on actualys, meals are on company card.
What industry are you in?
Consulting.
What advice would you give someone who is about to be a frequent work traveler?
Venture outside of the office/client and your hotel room or you will go insane. I do my best to enjoy the city I travel to.
