I've had it for years. Been very good and reliable so far. As for the issue above, there is a setting to change when you set it on Stay.

The warning is a very soft voice saying to enter pin or whatever. That kinda sucks because I'm a hard sleeper and I'll never hear that shite. I have Certified Alarms. 3 year contract. A little more expensive than ADT but I'd rather keep the business local.

I have 4 options on setting the alarm:

Stay - delay on entry door, no motion detection. When dogs are inside and I'm away.

Away - delay on entry door, motion detection. When dogs are outside and I'm away.

Instant (sleep mode) - no delay, no motion detection. Alarm starts blaring immediately if someone breaks in while sleep. Doesn't give 20-30 seconds to enter code.

Max (vacation mode) - no delay, motion detection. Turn off with app before entering home.

If vivent cannot change the delay options then that's terrible.

Edit: $39.50/month. Runs off cell tower. No home phone line needed.
