There is a lot of contempt, even in this forum, between one and the other. It's also a geographically driven thing. There are WAY more public schools in the northern part of the state than in the south. The northern guys have contempt for the southern, especially the northern publics toward us southern private or Catholic schools. Personally, I have or try to have a healthy respect for everyone, but a lot of folks don't share that.
Principal Booker of Many (I could be wrong) earlier this year proposed a "rural" vs. "urban/suburban" split as opposed to public or private. That was defeated, or may not have even made it to a vote.
