ETA: The whole point of base stealers is to put them in front of singles hitters, but I'm sure you knew that already. So, you move Freeman up to 8 you eliminate that with Pap behind him.

Next option is to move Freeman to the 6 hole, which is optimal, if your lineup fits it. The problem with that is one of the Jordan twins and Reid will be behind him, followed by Pap. Reid fits the bill, the Jordans twins not so much. So again, you eliminate the base stealing threat.

Having him in the 9 hole, with the way this lineup is constructed, puts him directly ahead of the 3 best hitters, including the two best singles hitters.

But, seeing as you're the expert, I'm sure you knew that already, right?
