We recently came back from our vacation there and can agree with you on avoiding regular burger, hotdog, etc food. We stayed at port Orleans riverside and the food court there was nasty. Pastries for breakfast only. Everything else was just bad, even the cokes are watered down heavy. I'll totally agree with pizza like a kids birthday place quality.

Animal Kingdom - yak and yeti
Pass and avoid. Like old Chinese food at a nasty buffet.

Magic kingdom - Pinocchio village haus
Subpar Italian pizza and chicken park sandwiches. Look elsewhere.

Typhoon lagoon - burger quality of tiger stadium...

Epcot - fish and chips were fantastic at the little shop they have. We also went during flower and garden fest and has awsome selections. Get some moose head lager in Canada on draft.

Hollywood - ABC commissary
Surprisingly not bad. We actually enjoyed it very much.

Disney springs - Giradeli chocolate shop
Be prepared to wait.... Pretty good though

My two cents. We are at some nice places also there all over the parks. If want some advice just ask me.

Food booths at Flower and Garden Festival were excellent. Brown Derby in Hollywood was great. Rose and Crown England always pretty good. Morimotos at Disney Springs was a great experience all around. Food court at Port Orleans Riverside consistently above average create your own pasta and shrimp salad favs. The restaurant there also has GREAT prime rib and you can get it rare. Port Orleans French Quarter food court is terrible in comparison IMO. Mexico sit down inside the main pavilion as well as the tequila cave are much better than either sit down or quick serve restaurant on the lagoon there.
