You a black guy? The only person I've ever seen do it was a black buddy, I was eating breakfast with one time, and when I looked at him like 'wtf are you doing?', he responded, "oh, you've never seen a black person eat grits, this is how we do it."

Y.A. ... nope, I'm not black, I'm white. I went to a black college, and my Wife is black.

It's not a black thing, though. The black community is equally up in arms about this bullsh!t. The guy who posted that is black.

I'm actually surprised that so many people on this board were unaware of this. Yes, it's a thing. I've known about it for years, and it's not a racial/ethnic thing ... it's a geographic thing.
