The people are "interesting", but man is the location awesome.
4 ski resorts within a 45 minute drive of SLC. Park City and all its facilities are only 2 hours away. I could never live in a snowy place, but I loved SLC for the weeks I stayed there.
Another thing, the restaurants are always PACKED with large families. Waits were completely ridiculous. And then we realized the bar area of every restaurant we went to was hardly ever occupied. Never waited for a table for the rest of our trip.

Way less than 2 hours. From airport to my condo in kimball junction is 29 minutes
