I told him the size and thought they would be like the rest they have on display all the time. I guess I just figured all filets are cut to that 2" thickness.

If I'm ordering ribeye, I will say 1", 1.5", etc.

Just be happy you're complaining that your filet mignon's weren't cut thick enough. Things could be worse. Hashtag white people problems, the struggle is real, and related hashtags.
