This shite is getting out of hand. Why the hell is it so damn important to the "LGBT community" that CHILDRENS' action heroes and cartoon characters be freaking gay? Seriously, does anyone go to a Captain America movie hoping to see him take it up the arse from his boyfriend or do they go to a Captain America movie to see him fight and win against some bad guy?

Exactly. LGBT make up what... being generous... 8% of the population?
Lets say you have 100 items to sell to 100 prospective customers. Changing one minor part pleases 8 of them, 10 buy it anyway and 82 of them tell you to frick off. Not changing that minor part pleases 82 of them, 10 buy it anyway and 8 tell you to frick off.
As a company trying to make money.... which do you choose?
This is why Cap is still straight and Elsa shouldn't be bumping uglies with a chick

I'd like to know how "huge" that demand really is.

I fricking doubt there is a "huge" demand. Instead its a small demand, but those shite stains are loud and vocal.

I can understand wanting a gay character in a film, but it has to happen organically, it can't just be thrust upon the story for the sake of just being there.

How do they know none of the Disney characters from 2015 was gay? Are they trying to say there's a certain way gay people act?
I don't remember them touching on the sexuality of most of the characters.

More importantly, those 8 LGBT customers are unlikely to stop buying your product (movies) with hetero characters, but you can basically guarantee you'll alienate 50 or more of your customers if you cave to the LGBT request.
Like 99% of things in America, money talks. If it is important to you, incite change with your money. Disney may be a friend to the LGBT community, but they're a slave to the almighty dollar, and rightfully so.

I'm down with Elsa being a carpet muncher.

This shite needs to fricking stop.

It's a weird paradigm...I don't really care if there is a gay Disney character, but I really hate this stupid fake "push" for gay Disney characters.

Not a single gay person I know gives a rat's arse whether or not Disney characters or superheroes are gay. The only reason I think it's a big deal to some people in the LGBT community is that they want to feel included by having one of their own represented, which I can understand.
It's a delicate issue because it won't take much before the extreme right-wing religious nut jobs start saying that gays want a gay Disney character because they're pedophiles or some such ridiculous BS. Besides, Disney owns ABC and there are already a few gay fairy tale characters on their show "Once Upon a Time." Nobody seems to have a problem with it.

Modern Family has a gay family too, but Once Upon a Time and Modern Family are a far, far cry from Toy Story.
When this issue comes up it is rarely about the entire Disney line of business and almost universally focused on their children's movies. This Captain America spin is a new development, and frankly it is much more likely to happen than an outright gay prince or princess in a cartoon, and for good reason.
