I know that LSU has to win both games tomorrow to secure a top 4 seed in the SEC and bye.

If not, they'll end up being the 5th seed playing on Tuesday vs the #12 team most likely Auburn or Tennessee based on their current record.

Now playing them with Lange pitching on Tuesday is, like I said, pretty much considered a bye itself. So tell me again what don't I understand? I'm quite confused by your comment more than anything.

Well...it isn't a bye if you play a day earlier with your #1 pitcher instead of playing a day later with your #1 against a team having played a day earlier and now pitching their #2 plus your number one is done for the tournament a day earlier and you have an extra game compare to the top 4 seeds...but other than that it is the same thing.

Having to waste your top arm against a shitty team is the antithesis of a bye.
