I don't know what you're trying to say here.

The two are directly related to each other. In HS, his natural talent was so great that he never needed to put the work into developing skills to do well. But he should've known that he would eventually need those skills once the talent gap between him and everyone else shrunk.

He could shoot 3s in practice til he's blue in the face he would still wouldn't be able to make them in the game. When a player is not good at something it doesn't automatically mean that he didn't work hard enough at it. You act like if he had worked harder he would have developed more offensively. By all accounts he works really hard him not developing offensively is more due to his natural talent than the amount of work he puts in.
