Anyone else read the story and "hear" it in Vin's voice?

It's amazing that there are usually two or three guys in the booth calling games, and Vin is all by himself and never misses a pitch all while telling great stories and interesting facts. He will be sorely missed when he retires.

The story was excellent, and Vin Scully is a true cultural treasure. I would put Ernie Harwell up there close to Vin in the way he commanded the language, enunciated cleanly and just seemed like a friend in the booth. Vin has him when it comes to longevity though, and for my money goes down as the GOAT for broadcasters in any sport.

I love Vin to death but he misses most pitches now. Even Clayton's CBs are 'change ups'. It's sad to see the end coming but it was such a fun listen for so long.
