I think my next boat will be a 22' panga. I wanted to see if anyone on the OB had one and could give me some advice. How do they handle rough waters? What did you pay for yours? I see a pretty wide price range on this boat, guess it depends on what you get added.

It's more of learning to putt than beating it deep off the tee

There's a nice one for sale on the gulf coast, it's on 90 just past Gulfport right now. It's an Andros, with a high driving platform. Looks to be the 23 Cuda.

I don't have one yet. I've been in an IMEMSA 25 and it was an eye opening experience. They mostly skip along the surface on their delta-v pad. There is enough bow in the front to provide stability when heading into waves. In rough surf the bow will pop up but they are long, slender boats, and it seems natural. It's more like a motorcycle than a cruise ship, but they are fun to operate. Also, in the Mexican boats, there is a large ring of flotation at the gunnel, which should allow the boat to stay upright even if it is filled with water. They aren't luxury but they are solid and highly versatile boats.
