The beer list for this event looks pretty weak... Not worth 30 bucks for me.

Holy shite. I never thought I would see something like this be allowed in Denham in my lifetime. LOL

Progress baby.

I'd rather spend 30 bucks on a couple beers and a meal there. The food was great the one time I went.

That beer lineup is one of the worst I've ever seen.

You're an idiot. Like anything else, beer can be good and it can be bad. If it is bad, why would you spend your money on it? Similarly, if the main focal point of the event is drinking new beer, why would you go pay to drink the same product you can buy on the beer aisle at Rouse's? Or you could go to Whole Foods, or any of the dedicated beer stores, and have a superior selection.

There's nothing snobby about it, it's pragmatism.

I'll never understand why being particular about something you love is "snobby".. or why snobby is even considered a negative thing to be.

If you don't want to buy Dollar General toilet paper, you aren't being snobby -- you just don't want a scratched arse. Why is refusing to pay $30 for readily-available beer samples a bad thing?

Anyway, kudos to Denham Springs. This is shocking to see there.

Well, it looks like it is open for home brewers to add their brews to the mix. Sounds like a great way to elevate the quality of the event.

Hell, I'm just happy that it is a step in the right direction for the town. Maybe that stick isn't wedged quite as far up as it once was.

Yeah your right. It is definitely a step in the right direction with chance of a future more crafty beer selection. I just brewed up a dIPA but won't have it in bottles in time for May 20 otherwise I'd add to the selection

Yep. I'm not as negative about the event as some might be because of the addition of home brewers and I think a deal like this might get some usual BMC drinkers to break out and try different things.

Very true. For many folks in the area, the beers on the list may be quite exotic. This could be their launch point to branch out.

eta: Yeah what Paul said.
