This might get a little slippery-slopish, but this type of shite will lead to dearth of innovative military strategists, among other things.

That is extremely slippery-slopish. How many kids play CoD, Battlefield, and other combat-oriented video games? A ton of them. They miss the physical component, but they still promote tactical thinking (if you're any good).

And I don't think that playing games like dodgeball or tug of war or Call of Duty is necessary to become an innovative military strategist. There are many ways to learn the kind of thinking that is required for military exploits.

If anything, CoD and similar games give a totally fictitious and unrealistic view of war fighting to young men today. The danger is they think they know about war fighting from these games while I'm truth they don't.

A great example I can think of is the popular notion on the OT that drones would be an effective weapon all on their own at stopping a Russian combined arms attack against Central Europe.

I don't necessarily agree with the OP's premise, but this is off, too.

Not really. Combat is an extremely physical/visceral experience. You can't really understand what you're asking of people without physically doing it yourself.
