Why not hit Destrehan, San Francisco and then Houmas House on the way to BR. Then cross the river and see Nottoway, Whitney and Oak Alley.
That dude Cummings, the one funding the removal of the monuments in NO, has set up a "Disneyland for White Guilt" at Whitney Plantation if you are into self flagellation. If not, I'd bypass that one.

go to wafb.com and they have an offer for 4 tours at a great price that you cannot beat all within easy driving of each other. We did it in two days and did an overnight at one of them.Great spring weekend!!
