Your employer does but not your industry

His employer was not the NCAA.

So should LSU went on probation when Cecil Collins was walking around girls houses uninvited? No they should not have as it was a legal issue, not a NCAA issue

If they knew about it and did nothing at all to stop it or punish him, sure. But I'm pretty sure he was dismissed.

I don't recall LSU not punishing Collins and allowing him to remain on the football team.

had they known he was doing it and covered it up so they could keep on the field ?
Yes

Paterno had reason to believe or at a minimum suspect that Sandusky was molesting children and did nothing to stop it in order that he...

A keep his D coordinator

B protect his job

how is that not a effort to protect a perceived competitive advantage

what SHOULD happen is that Penn State shut down the football program out of shame

It wasn't an NCAA issue because LSU dealt with the situation in a way befitting the NCAA.

Penn State was punished by the NCAA because because they dealt with the situation in a way that resulted in children getting raped.

What the holy frick is so wrong with you that you STILL don't get this. Seriously.

If penn State had handled Sandusky the way LSU handled Collins none of us would be talking about it.
