May 8th is coming soon guys. I just bought some stamps and mailed off my letters.

Every year I dread the thought of the "gift". I really don't think she has liked anything I've gotten her in years.
Sad, because I always killed it in grade school with pottery class coffee mugs and rigatoni necklaces.

Got my mom a gift today. Having her and my dad over for a crayfish boil on Saturday as well

Whatever you do, do NOT look for flowers on SUNDAY. Try Fri or Sat. I've made that mistake too many times. Btw Home Depot and Lowes have a nice selection of orchids. They don't die as easily as others.

My mom left us when I was just 4 years old. I found out where she lived when I was in college and every mother's day since then I've sent her a single rose and a note with my phone number in the mail. It's been 23 years that I've been doing this but I don't get discouraged. I don't get angry or impatient with her. I know she still feels that motherly yearning in her heart and one day I'll get that call.
